NewDesign - Flecha de Fuego

PS: (2/9/2014) I sort of realized I first painted this when no description was available on how exactly a Flecha-de-Fuego looked. As of the last books it was very obvious I got it wrong, so I re-coloured it, and took a chance to do a better job at it I hope.

PS2: BTW! This is obiously a female, seeing as the male has a neck ruff now. There was no fixing THAT.

After a while I decided to post this, even if the image of this breed is mostly of my own invention, as in the books it is only mentioned that it is a lightweight breed with incendiary capacities from spain. Much as in the earlier compendiums of dragon breeds, I made an effort at pictiring it and this is what came out.

The name of the breed means "Fire Arrow." There was at least one Flecha-del-Fuego present at the Battle of Trafalgar that set fire to Nelson's flagship, the HMS Victory, before Laetificat scared him away. Conflagratia was the dragon credited with helping Sir Francis Drake defeat the Spanish Armada in 1588. Her name stems from the Latin verb 'to burn', which might suggest a fire breather like a Flecha-del-Fuego, stolen from the Spanish either as an egg or by the capture of her captain.
